Tribute to My Late Father

A great man of faith, a dedicated and loving husband, father and grand father; gentle man to the core but a firm and disciplinarian father crossed over the River Jordan to the other side of eternity to meet his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He was a man of rare wisdom in our generation and disciplined resource manager. He took care of the small and great things of life and taught us to do the same. He lived with eternity's values in view. He slept in the Lord at the ripe age of 83 yesterday, Thursday July 9, 2015. I am very grateful for the full life he lived and the legacy of love he left behind, and I am very appreciative for this man of faith and valour.

One of his most frequent and precious words to me was - "One must learn daily as if he's going to live forever, and live your life as if you're going to meet God tomorrow." Though he's dead his spirit and legacies live on.

I thank God for his life and rich legacies, and will always cherish them. I will earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints, so I can be accounted worthy to meet him and my Saviour, one of these days.

Adieu dear father, may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace till we meet at the feet of Jesus.

Shalom
